Over Rs 5 increase in the prices of petroleum products in a short period of only 45 days would put not only the people in trouble but the whole industry also. Pakistan Industrial Associations Front (Piaf) vice-chairman, Mubashir Sheikh said this while expressing grave concern over sharp rise in the prices of petroleum products, disclosed a Piaf's spokesman here on Wednesday. He further said that the increase would hit hard all government efforts to speed up the process of industrialisation in the country.

He maintained that with this raise not only the transportation charges would go up but the industrialists who deals in exports would also be in deep trouble. This increase would multiply the cost of production, hence creating a lot of troubles for them in executing the orders given to them by international buyers.
